# Notifications are automatically added to events without notifications
This is a workaround when notifications are added without permission even if you create an event without notifications.
e.g. If you create a event without notifications in Google Calendar and then open the event in minical or iOS calendar, notifications will be added without permission.
minical does not change the event without permission, and a notification has been added due to a bug on the iOS side.
You may be able to avoid this problem by changing the default notification time of iOS as follows.
- Open the Settings
app - (For iOS 18 or later) Tap "Apps"
- Tap "Calendar"
- Tap "Default Alert Times"
- Change all alert times to None
