# Why should I configure iCloud?

If your device is set to save events on your device instead of using a calendar from an external service such as Google Calendar or Outlook, events cannot be backed up. By saving the events in iCloud instead of in your device, the following is possible.

  • Sync events across multiple devices, including iPhone and iPad
  • Transfer events to another device when changing devices

# Check the iCloud settings in the Settings app

Please check if the iCloud settings are enabled by following the steps below.

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen *If your iPhone displays Sign in, sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Tap "iCloud"
  4. Tap "See All" (or "Show All")
  5. Confirm that "iCloud Calendar" is turned on
