Where Is My Event Data Stored?
minical stores all event data in Apple Calendar. To protect your privacy, minical’s service never keeps a copy of your events. Whenever you view events in minical, the app simply reads them from Apple Calendar on your device.
If You Use an External Calendar Service
When you link an external calendar service (iCloud, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.), your events are still saved locally in Apple Calendar. Apple Calendar then syncs those events with the external service.
If You Do Not Use an External Calendar Service
Even if you save events only in minical—without linking iCloud, Google, Outlook, or any other service—those events are still stored locally in Apple Calendar on your device.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I delete the Apple Calendar app?
Removing the Apple Calendar app does not delete your event data.
Can minical restore my event data?
Because we never store your events, we cannot restore them. If events are not displaying correctly, please see Sync events.
